ConnectIn Kids is designed to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and comparable regulations including GDPR-K.

1. Verifiable parental consent

Consent is obtained before collecting personal information from children under 13. Enrollment links accounts to guardian email; guardians approve creation and ongoing connections.

2. Closed ecosystem

No communication with unverified adults. No public profiles, open DMs, or external friend suggestions.

3. Information collected

• Display name and age band
• Quest progress and aggregated activity
• Moderation indicators—not message archives

4. Parental rights

• Review activity summaries via email
• Request account and data deletion
• Revoke consent for further collection

5. Advertising and data sales

No third-party behavioral advertising. No sale of children's personal data.

6. Data security

Administrative, technical, and organizational measures protect children's information, including privacy-first moderation architecture.
